Follow the Directions!

"It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh is no help at all. The words I have spoken to you are spirit and life." John 6:63 (ESV)

Its almost a cliché - a man laying aside the directions and putting something together without paying attention to the step-by-step instructions.  How hard can be after all?  Such is the attitude that produces 'left over' parts that are deemed nonessential - at least until the item just will not work properly.

The Lord of the universe has left very specific instruction for us to follow in life.  Unfortunately - and with tragic results - people disregard those instructions and try to make it on their own.

Join with us the first part of 2008 as we "Sit at the Feet of the Rabbi" and discover again the wealth of God's commands.  Jesus specifically told us how we should live and it is imperative that every person take seriously His words.

Jesus said, "Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and keep it!" Luke 11:28

Missions

The Baptist Men's Ministry is sponsoring "The Awuni House Project."  We will be helping David and Clara build their new home.  This is a missionary family in Ghana that our church supports.

Awana Clubs

Awana is for children in preschool through sixth grade. Awana is an international, Bible-centered children's ministry providing local churches with weekly clubs, programs and training for students.

Boy Scout Troop 216
First Baptist Church of Battlefield is the proud sponsor of Boy Scout Troop 216.  Weekly meetings are held on Monday's at 7:00 p.m.
